The Trauma Surgery focus area at the Ukrainian College of Surgeons (UCS) covers emergency surgical care, modern approaches to traumatic injury management, patient pathways, and coordination across care teams
It is a professional focus of the community that brings specialists together around clinical judgment, current protocols, system coordination, and a culture of high-quality trauma care in Ukraine

Oleksandr Danyliuk
Senior Advisor for Trauma Surgery
2014–2015 and from 2025 to the present: Active military surgeon of the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade.
2023–2025: Strategic military medical leadership in senior positions within the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defence, including service as an officer of the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2023) and Deputy Director of the Health Department of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine (2024–2025).
2018–2023: Five years of experience as Head of the Emergency Medical Care Unit of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in public administration (MoH).
2011–2020: Practical experience as an emergency surgeon at leading hospitals in Uzhhorod (CMCH) and Kyiv (KCEC) in clinical and military surgery.
