Petition Data Sharing Notice
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Before signing, the petition page should identify every organizer or sufficiently clear recipient category that will receive identifiable signer data.
Fields normally shared
Only what is necessary for the petition: for example name, email, phone, specialty, workplace, location, verification status/method and signing time. IP address, full OAuth/provider payload, SMS security data, user agent and internal antifraud records are normally UCS security evidence and should not be routinely transferred.
Organizer use
Recipients may use data for petition administration, integrity checks, joint submission, advocacy directly related to the signed initiative, campaign outcome updates and reasonable evidence preservation. Sale, unrelated advertising, unrelated political profiling or transfer to new third parties without a lawful basis and notice is prohibited.
New organizers
An organizer added after a person signed does not automatically receive historical signer data. UCS should obtain a new notice/consent where required. Where UCS and co-organizers jointly determine purposes/essential means, they should document roles, security, retention and rights handling internally.
Contact
Questions, privacy requests, complaints and security reports: info@uasurgeons.org. UCS may reasonably verify identity and authority before acting on a request.
