Dmytro Chuhaievskyi and Bohdan Fedor took part in the intensive program Leadership in Medical Education 2026, held from April 8–10 at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

The event brought together twenty proactive medical students from across Ukraine and was organized under the auspices of the Ukrainian Health Center with support from the Ukrainian-Swiss project.

Over three intensive days, participants explored complex systemic challenges facing the healthcare and medical education sectors. The program emphasized practical learning, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving, creating an environment where future healthcare leaders could engage directly with experts and mentors.

A key feature of the intensive was the opportunity for open dialogue with speakers and mentors who possess firsthand experience in implementing healthcare reforms at the national level, including within the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Participation in initiatives such as Leadership in Medical Education strengthens professional competencies, promotes leadership development, and encourages active engagement in the transformation of medical education and healthcare systems. The Ukrainian College of Surgeons supports opportunities that empower future medical professionals to contribute to evidence-based change and innovation within the healthcare sector.
